In the past two years, the WellMed Charitable Foundation has contributed over $3 million to the community.
The WellMed Charitable Foundation was established in 2006 by Dr. George Rapier III, a noted geriatrician who is also the Chairman of the Board. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization that supports seniors and their caregivers in our community with a special emphasis on wellness, prevention, and living with chronic illness. It is the philanthropic arm of the WellMed Medical Group, Inc. headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.

The Foundation provides funding in Bexar County and the surrounding South Texas Counties of Comal and Guadalupe where WellMed clinics are located. Additionally, Letters of Inquiry are accepted from communities served by Physician's Health Choice including Travis, Williamson and Hays counties in the Austin area; Nueces, San Patricio and Aransas counties in the Corpus Christi area; Cameron, Hidalgo and Willacy counties in the El Paso and Rio Grande Valley area. Physician's Health Choice also serves Broward County in the Ft. Lauderdale and Treasure Coast area; Las Cruces area in New Mexico; and in Arkansas, the counties of Conway, Faulkner, Grant, Jefferson, Lonoke, Prairie, Pulaski, Saline & White in the Little Rock area.

Upon receipt of your letter, a determination will be made whether or not it meets the Foundation's goals. If it does not, you will be notified in writing. If you proposal is accepted, you will be contacted by the Foundation.
